Proud as punch :)

I was very proud and thankful last Friday when I was honoured with the prize for Outstanding Evolution and Ecology Student Paper for 2016 from my centre at the university. When you've put so much time, love, sweat, tears and screams into something, it's always a wonderful feeling to know that others are witnessing the fruits of that labour, but more so that they are enjoying it too. I'm so proud of my very first paper, and the success it has garnered so far, and will hopefully continue into the future. There were a number of other nominations for the prize and other prizes on the night, and I am so glad that my fellow students are also achieving such wonderful things!
