ACOUSTIC COMMUNICATION IN MAMMALS

Exploring the Wonders of Sound

About

I completed my PhD at the University of New South Wales in 2019. My work looks at the changes in mammals' acoustic communication in response to change. More broadly my interests are in behavioural ecology, particularly in mammals, but I have a soft spot for their vocal behaviour. I enjoy the puzzles that biology throws my way and finding patterns in seemingly random events. Through my outreach activities and teaching I carried out during my candidacy I have also developed a love for environmental education, researching and communicating the techniques that the general public can employ to reduce their environmental impact.
